This video has me working on a 1951 Dodge M37 3/4 ton Army Military truck (I said 1947 in the video and later found out it is a 1951, apologies) located at the MAPS Museum next to the Akron Canton Airport in Green, OH where I am a life member and volunteer. The truck in question was running before I started this project but would lean out when you pressed the accelerator, so the choke had to be left on to keep it running/drivable. I am using a rebuild kit obtained from Midwest Military Store. In this video I walk through the disassembly and tear down of the carburetor as well as start the cleanup process. The next video will cover the major cleaning and rebuilding of the carburetor walking through the reassembly process.
