Join Engineering Technician Georgia as she gives Royal Australian Navy Sailor Chloe a behind-the-scenes tour of HMS Prince of Wales, the Royal Navy’s fleet flagship, while docked in Darwin, Australia. From the ship’s gyms and café to where the crew sleeps, eats and unwinds, this is life on board during Operation Highmast, the Royal Navy’s flagship deployment of 2025.
HMS Prince of Wales led the UK Carrier Strike Group through Exercise Talisman Sabre: the largest ever iteration of the Australia-led multinational training exercise. With 19 nations and over 30,000 personnel involved, the deployment highlights the UK’s commitment to Indo-Pacific security and the rules-based international order.
🇬🇧 This is the first visit to Australia by a Queen Elizabeth-class carrier, and the first Royal Navy carrier to visit since 1997.
