As a descendant of the Hokkien diaspora, I traveled to this UNESCO-listed city to reconnect with my roots, explore centuries-old traditions, and walk the same streets my family might have centuries ago.
🌍 Why Quanzhou?
Quanzhou was not only the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road but also the homeland of many Hokkien people who later migrated to Southeast Asia and beyond.
