Sliding Jaguar D-type and Lister battle at Goodwood

The Lavant Cup in 2020 combined the sportscars of the Sussex Trophy and Freddie March Memorial Trophy to bring together all the best sports racing cars of the 1950s. While not at Revival these racers are always one of the highlights of the event each year and battled brilliantly on track at Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard. The Jaguar D-Type of Martin Stretton and the Lister Flatiron of Phil Quaife fought tooth and nail for pretty much the whole race, despite not being in contention for the victory. Joined in parts by a second Lister it was proof that it doesn’t matter where on the grid at Goodwood you’ll always find some amazing racing from some of the rarest cars the world has ever seen.

The D-Type is resplendent in Ecurie Ecosse colours of blue and white, against the two Listers in there classic deep green as Fred Wakeman, Quaife and Stretton continued their stunning battle.
