WINDY Wild Camp On PUMLUMON Fawr - Cambrian Mountains

We headed up to the beautiful Cambrian Mountains in Mid Wales with Charlene Malson for a hike and wild camp, the weather wasn't the best as it was quite windy but we made the best of it. We got to the summit of Pumlumon Fawr before the mist and flag rolled in, It was a very enjoyable camp and a great test for our camping gear - both KUIU Storm Star tents held up superbly well in the high winds, we also tested out some more camping gear as we can't stop buying more camping equipment ;-),
We also came across a crash site of a US Air Force Lockheed aircraft, we met a farmer who told us the fascinating but tragic story about what happened, and went into detail of the events that occurred saying that his father found the charred remains of the pilot three days after the plane crashed :-( he was an interesting man and it was great to meet him.
