蛊 Gu is a type of venom-based poison from legends. Basically a mix of different venoms from creatures such as snakes, insects, etc concentrated into the body of a larvae. In folklore, a gu spirit is able to transform into different animals mostly snakes, scorpions, centipedes, pigs, etc.
