DIY Macrame Basket Tutorial: How to Make a Stylish and Functional Basket. Macrame flower pot.

Easter was coming and I wanted to make a macrame basket for eggs. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to make and so I just kinda went with the flow and experimented . Because of that, you can see different endings as I tried out how it would look If I left a longer cord after finishing, how it would look with a shorter cord, and at the end decided to try out gluing them and I am glad I did. I love the final result.
I didn't include how to make flowers as I didn't want to have a too long a video, but planning to make a tutorial for it too, just in case somebody would like to make this flower too :)

!!! ATTENTION: few suggestions and mistakes that I made in the tutorial:
when adding a new cord for the sides it's BETTER to add a cord with a half hitch knot, NOT larks head knot as it destroys the outer pattern !!!!!
don't worry if your cords are not as long as mine in the video, as I said, it was experimental and I had a too-long cord, but measurements down are shorter measurements, so you don't have to cut too much off like me.

!!! You don't need to add a new cord just because I did in the video. You can add it when you feel that the gap between cords is too long. If the gap is too long it will make ugly patterns and holes

For the base I made 7 circles and for the sides also 7 circles up.

Materials:
1x 500cm 5mm braided cotton cord
4x 150cm 5mm braided cotton cord
8x 130cm 5mm braided cotton cord
6x 110cm 5mm braided cotton cord
glue gun

In total, I had 19 cords. If you want to have a bit wider upper par,t you just need to add more cords when you start to raise the sides. I like my result as after using it as an Easter egg basket, now I keep a small FLOWER pot inside.
