The Scroll From Start to Finish — A Heartfelt Creation in 8 Minutes

This video brings the entire creation of the scroll together — from the first stroke of paint to the final stitch on the cover, all woven into one 8-minute story.

It begins with transforming the canvas: removing the staples, taking it out of the frame, and painting both sides in warm earthy browns, shaded with deeper tones and touches of black. Then come the hand-painted wooden sticks and the waxed cord that holds everything in place — a process full of learning, small mistakes, and the joy of trying something completely new.

The next layer is the text.
Because the band Timothy treasures 2 Chronicles 7:14, I chose to continue the message with 2 Chronicles 7:15–16, written first with an acrylic marker and then traced with foil glue. When the glue turns transparent, I apply the gold foil and brush away the excess until the letters shine softly across the scroll.
Tiny pieces of gold stay scattered on the surface, creating a beautiful accent that ties the whole piece together.

The final part is the scroll’s cover — made intuitively, with deep burgundy eco-leather and the same waxed cord used on the scroll. And the moment when I embroidered the “Timothy” label onto it felt like a gentle finishing touch.

All parts — the making, the writing, the stitching — come together here as one whole.
