The starting point for the Christian is a right attitude and appetite towards the things of God. Tasting and seeing that the Lord is good creates an assurance that our unchanging state is that of being blessed: we will go through the valleys, and God will hear when we are asking our petitions. Applying our faith brings about an allegiance to God, which creates a greater appetite for Him, taking us full circle in ever-increasing faith.
