At last I ride in the Alps for the first time, which was exciting and concerning in equal measure.
We are not talking the main roads through the Alps or indeed gnarly tracks, just narrow back roads with tight climbing curves, drops to the sides and fantastic views.
This is my ascending leg and part 2 will be my leg back down (although I had more climbing to do first).
