What if Jesus was born in present-day China? And...closer to home... what if Jerusalem were the present-day Shanghai? Do not be surprised or angry at our suggestion that Jesus was born a diaosi like many of us, or worse. Or that he was given birth to in a lousy cab on a jam-packed 南北高架. This is an all-female, modern-day interpretation of the Nativity performed in minimalist fashion, in Chinese. Laugh for a while, but think a little longer on what it meant for our Savior to come to us in the lowliest and most 接地气 of ways.
