How To Make Paper Orchid Flowers - An Easy Tutorial

Orchids are a beautiful, classic flower used to symbolize love, friendship, health, and thoughtfulness. A towering orchid bloom is a sophisticated addition to entryways, bedside tables, and more! Now you can make orchids that will last much longer than their natural cousins by using paper! I've created this tutorial in collaboration with one of my favorite craft stores, Michaels!

You can make these paper orchid flowers with your Cricut or scissors! I have provided step-by-step instructions to make this paper craft easy. You can create paper orchid flowers with these #FREE templates. Follow this video tutorial to make easy paper orchid blooms.

00:28 Step 1: Use the template and a Cricut machine or scissors to cut out your orchids.
00:39 Step 2: Put cardstock on the blue Cricut mat; load it into the Cricut machine.
00:42 Step 3: Press “Go” on the Cricut machine when prompted.
00:47 Step 4: Repeat the cutting steps for all your petal colors.
01:04 Step 5: (Optional) Distress the petals for a more realistic look.
01:36 Step 6: Shape and curl your petals.
02:00 Step 7: Place a dot of glue in the center of the 3-point petal.
02:08 Step 8: Place the 2-point petal on top of the 3-point petal.
02:16 Step 9: Glue floral wire to the center of the petals.
02:24 Step 10: Make sure floral wire is secure, and add yellow center to the pink center.
02:36 Step 11: Glue the entire center on to the floral wire.
02:46 Step 12: Repeat this process for 3-6 orchid blooms.
02:53 Step 13: Use thicker floral wire and wrap it in corsage tape. Trim down w
02:54 Step 14: Trim down any wire that is too long.
03:06 Step 15: Prep corsage tape by placing strips in a place you can get to easily.
03:09 Step 16: Add each orchid bloom to the stem with corsage tape starting at the top.
03:45 Step 17: Add your leaves.
