Previously a locals only trail and a favorite of the Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club (HTMC), some friends have been hard at work improving the trail & clearing some viewpoints of invasive trees. Once, only a somewhat obscured view at the powerlines, now boasts a panoramic view, with an almost 360º view in the works.
This steep, but short (ish) hike (little over 3 miles), now offers several viewpoints along the trail, cordoned off beehives with contours to get around the hives, and some "benches" to rest on.
