We rescued Miss Cookie this morning after a lovely homeowner called her in after finding her in the middle of her backyard which is not a place you want to be if you're a flying-fox and the sun is up.
Freezing cold, painfully thin and clearly starving, Cookie is now in care in a warm bed, enjoying all the bananas she ever want.
Calls are starting to ramp up ahead of orphan season.
Any bat by itself through the day is in trouble. Don't touch but please call your local wildlife rescue organisation for assistance.
Apologies for not posting for a while but some awful coughing virus has made life uncomfortable for the past couple of weeks.
Now feeling better and coughing a lot less, I can start posting again.
