This beading tutorial will teach you step-by-step how to make these sparkling butterfly perfect for earrings or a necklace.
Materials used in video:
Size 15 SEED BEADS MIYUKI
SIZE 11 ROUND SEED BEADS MIYUKI
SIZE 11 DELICA BEADS MIYUKI
4 MM BICONE CRYSTALS
FIRELINE BEADING THREAD
SIZE 12 BEADING NEEDLE
6 MM JUMP RING
(The butterflies are especially easy if you have ever done any peyote stitch. Plus I suggest fireline beading thread in a .006 or .008, using a very thin beading thread does make the project pretty easy since it involves multiple passes through a single bead and I used a size 12 beading needle by Beadsmith. This combination seemed to be perfect for making the butterflies)
You will begin by making four butterfly wings out of the beads, then learn how to put them all together. Finish with a loop of beads, perfect for attaching a jump ring to turn your butterflies into a pendant for a necklace or a pair of earrings.
