Helicopter Gunship DEX • RAH-66 Comanche Showcase

Been a while since I checked up on Jimmy's progress with HGD. Seems he's been hard at work since there are few new helos added - Comanche and Chinook, though with this video I will focus solely on RAH-66.

There are two versions - Comanche and Comanche Longbow (with Longbow radar system). You can expand the weapons carrying capabilty by attaching EFAMS at the cost of increased drag, weight and reduced stealth.

For this showcase mission I set up a recon and SEAD objective - both suited well for stealth characteristics of the Comanche.

Few observations:
• The flight model is pretty twitchy (as most helos are in HGD), even autopilot seems to struggle to keep it stable in a hover while ascending.
• I love the stowable gun and working weapon bays, you can control them manually or keep them at automatic mode (mind the delay when you want to fire in auto mode though) - remember to map the new keys if you want to use the manual mode
• The gun having no tracers to not reveal the Comanche position is a nice touch
• I fly from a front seat since this is where the pilot seat is in RAH-66 as opposed to other tandem cabin attack helos
