UP 662 Florin Flyer Switching, SacRT| Mather Field Rd. Railroad Crossing Rancho Cordova CA

The train works Pacific Supply for the first time in months as it seems like a seasonal job now for the freight train, so I set up to film the spur track being used here at Mather Field Rd. A repeated problem of this crossing, the far turn lane has a vehicle stop under the gate and land on top of it. The guy also held up the light rail train.

Union Pacific Railroad Florin Flyer Local freight train switches on the UP Placerville Branch and UP Mather Spur passing through the Mather Field Road railroad crossing working Pacific Supply in Rancho Cordova, California delivering one car taking it off and shoving onto the spur then back out onto the branch to their train and a couple of late Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Gold Line.

This crossing also has two no right turn blank ouy signals.

This crossing owmed by SACRT is an mixed install with the gatef signals on the southern side being SACRT Late 1990s signal installs with bell, a couple of lights one on cantilever and one on shoulder, gate, gate lights, mechanisms, and counterweight arms changed from the original install equipment. The two gateless signals amd two gated signals near the intersection are an SACRT Early 2000s Type B signal install with gate, gate lights, mechanisms, counterweight arms, and a base change for the turn lane. The yellow flasher is a SACRT early 2000s install.
