Located deep in Texas Hill Country, Garner State Park provides 2.9 miles of Frio River frontage and 16 miles of trails, including a mix of both flatland and rugged hill climbing. When we visited in winter, we had cold weather and mainly overcast days, but still managed to hike the Old Baldy, Foshee, Campos, Old Entrance, Blinn River, Madrone, and Frio Canyon Trails, in addition to exploring all the campground roads and loops.
