Preparing Tempered Glass For Mosaics

In the video I tested two methods to help hold the glass together after it shatters so you don't have tiny pieces all over the place. Use the shipping tape method and not the Weldbond wash method!!!! After it breaks, I took an exacto knife and cut chunks of glass cutting thru the tape. I then stored the glass, with the tape still on, in a box for later use. To use, glue the glass on the non tape side onto your substrate. Let it completely dry, and then pull the tape off. You just have to be mindful that the grout will not actually seep into all those cracks...but you will see it in between the clumps of glass. I save as much of the loose pieces as possible to help fill in the mosaic.
I've used this on a glass substrate. I also have used it on an mdf board, painted it with acrylics, and laid the tempered over it. I still have a tons in a box all taped together....I love this stuff!!
