The Clown Tango - Director: Joe Dieffenbacher

Two clowns challenge each other to dance a tango! A dance duo like you've never seen before, this comedy duet explores the possibilities of what clowns can look like and how they perform.

This video is part of "The Clown Who ..." series, short video slideshows featuring artists I’ve worked with, helping them to create original and eccentric clown acts, with an emphasis on the absurd.

Director Joe Dieffenbacher has been featured at top festivals all over the world. He’s collaborated with British pop sensations Take That, Just Dance Live, Holiday on Ice, Disney, Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, and was featured in the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics Closing Ceremonies. He was Director of Clown Conservatory at the Circus Center in San Francisco, Circus Skills Director at the Scottish National Opera in Glasgow, Physical Theatre Director for productions at Shakespeare’s Globe, Regents Park Theatre and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, in London.
