Assassin's Creed 3: De-sync Barrier Deactivation

De-sync Barrier Deactivation.

Points of Interest:
1. The set-up for this glitch requires you to be before a mission where you follow someone by horse-back. But instead of mounting the horse and starting the mission, you can deactivate the barrier -- while -- making the game technically think the mission has not yet started.

This gives you freedom to explore areas that you normally can't at that point in time...allowing glitches. I've not tried to see if this works at other areas of the game that have a similar set-up, so there could be more glitches possible with this elsewhere.

2. In this vid I left the guy I was supposed to follow around behind. And since the barrier is deactivated, I was able to go to an area that let me skip the battle/speech trigger.

From there you can freely explore the enemy's army without fear of getting killed etc.

3. Since you can run through the army unimpeded, you are able to go directly to the final area of the battlefield. But unfortunately this is wasted speedrun potential, because the guy you are supposed to assassinate has not yet loaded.

I also tried following the regular route, but the game loads none of the required triggers to continue, until the previous mission has been started etc.

4. I then backtracked to the pre-battle 'speech trigger', but I was holding a barrel (unexpected conditions for the game). When you trigger the speech while holding the barrel, the game breaks you out of carrying it, and Connor walks around with arms out oddly.

5. At the end of the vid I show another example of getting oob near the water's edge. It's as easy as jumping towards the edges of rocks, and Connor will end up underneath them. From there you spam diving with surface-swimming, eventually you breach the water and fall.

Not too useful here, but it might be possible to get oob near rocky mountains next to water.

6. As Connor fell oob, I noticed there was something out of bounds that looked like a second Connor. (??)
