Yiyang Qiang opera (弋阳腔) is an opera form that originated from the Yiyang county of Jiangxi, and was derived from nanxi (南戏), one of the the predecessors of modern Chinese opera. Yiyang qiang melodic system, which is the core melodic system of the opera, is one of the four major melodic systems in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Performed by renowned Yiyang Qiang artistes Li Fudong (李福东) and Zheng Ruisheng (郑瑞笙).
Produced by Bayi Film Studio (八一电影制片厂) and directed by Li Zigui (李紫贵).
