TEMU Motorcycle Parts - Are they worth it?

Are the custom automotive and motorcycle parts worth buying?

Short answer. I THINK YES.

Companies like TEMU are a Point of Sale or POS for other businesses. This means you aren't actually buying things from a company called temu, but instead you're buying from a seller who is advertising on temu.

This is similar to buying from companies like ‪@amazon‬, where any company can market their product once approved. So when you buy something like a Mishimoto radiator from Amazon, you could be buying the part director from Mishimoto.
Key words here. You COULD be. You have to take the time to look to see who the seller is.

At the same time, someone could be a reseller.

This is what we find on TEMU. Anyone can sell here, and what we are getting is a lot of the knockoff parts common in China and Japan, which often don't make it to the US markets because of strict import laws and taxes that would spike the prices.

but - when you order directly from the company you avoid some US market legalities, requirements, and reseller markups.

So I bought 2 products from Temu for our 1983 Suzuki 550 flat tracker. A flat tracker is a dirt circle track racing motorcycle.

I bought a seat, and a set of grips. Both links can be found at the top of the description.

The grips fit pretty good. I can't forsee any issues with them at all. They cost me a massive $4.15 shipped and replaced and old set that were extremely worn down and destroyed.

The seat cost me around $20, and while the mounts are in no way a direct fit to anything on my bike, everything lines up well enough.
I have a similar seat on my Honda 750 cafe racer, but the mounting is very different and requires a key and so on. For racing, I prefer this one. I'm gonna use zip ties to mount this seat, since my physical butt should hold the seat down.

I mean. If it fails it's a me problem that only I feel the outcome of my actions. So yeah.

Do I think they're worth it. Absolutely. Parts are getting expensive as everyone tries to build the highest quality, and sometimes you just need cheap. Cheap and usable. Especially in racing where I might crash and this bike might last 1 race. Yeah I go for cheap.
