Radeon HD 7870 Linux Drivers Cyberpunk 2077 (Enables Frame Gen and XeSS With Modern APIs)

Testing modern graphics rendering technology like XeSS and FSR 3 frame gen on 2012's mid-high end offering from AMD, the Radeon HD 7870. Running this GPU with Linux's AMDGPU driver enables much greater performance and compatibility in modern games, because it is still receiving updates thanks to the open source driver stack! This GPU support DX12 but only Feature Level 11.1, so games like Halo Infinite don't work with the Windows drivers. However, under Linux, this GPU supports up to Vulkan 1.3.3 thanks to work done by the community to back port features. On Windows it supports up to Vulkan 1.2 officially.

This GPU is even two steps down from their top-end Radeon HD 7970 GPU. The GPU I'm using is a workstation "FirePro" version of the HD 7870's Pitcairn GPU with exactly the same number of cores, but with double sided memory giving it 4GB compared the to gaming card's 2GB.

Additionally, I am running Fedora 42 Release Candidate with Linux 6.14 with the NTSync update and I'm using CachyOS Proton's build with NTSync parameters available and enabled. It is verified working by Mango HUD.
