Oz: Two tropical lows to monitor, extreme heat inland pushes south (22/01/26)

The skies are fairly dry over a large portion of Australia but a line of showers/isolated thunderstorms continues in the days ahead from the north-west corner of Qld to the south-east corner, also the north-east corner of NSW and some coastal areas.
Two tropical lows to monitor - the main one at this stage is for the Kimberley this weekend with a possible tropical cyclone coming in, then helping create heavy downpours and severe thunderstorms down central/eastern WA to the southern coastline - next week this may drift further into SA but for now SA and Vic look mainly dry.
The heat is expanding too - excessive heat (which is usually over 40 degrees) will push into SA, NSW, the A.C.T and inland Vic.
Tas isn't too unsettled but there are some ups and downs with temperatures as high pressure zones move through.
The second area of tropical low pressure worth monitoring is up around the Coral Sea/Solomon Sea area next week. It's unclear at this early stage if it will become a tropical, or if it will affect Australia, but those in the upper half of Queensland should be montoring it now in case it does set its sights on land. It may not be until early next week that we know more about that system - for now though, it's well offshore.
