When its Cold - Even One Degree Matters

When the water is very cold a difference of 1 or 2 degrees can make all the difference between not getting any bites and getting plenty of bites.

Often, all you need to do is fish in a slightly shallower area, especially on days when there is no wind to mix the water up. Remember, the coldest water will always sink to the bottom, so a shallower area of your swim should be a tiny bit warmer. If the sun is out, it will also warm up quicker.
