Restaurant Style Matar Paneer Recipe | Paneer Curry | मटर पनीर कैसे बनाएं
Make the all-time favorite Matar Paneer in just a few minutes using a pressure cooker! This quick and simple recipe brings you the rich flavors of paneer and green peas cooked in a creamy, spiced tomato-onion gravy – just like restaurant style, but super easy at home.
Ingredients
250 g paneer (cubed)
1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
2 medium onions (finely chopped)
2 medium tomatoes (pureed)
1 green chili (slit)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp oil or ghee
1 bay leaf
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp kasuri methi (crushed)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
1 cup water (adjust for gravy consistency)
2 tbsp fresh cream (optional, for richness)
Step 1 – Prepare the base
1. Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add bay leaf & cumin seeds.
2. Add chopped onions until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste & green chili. Fry until raw smell goes away.
Step 2 – Cook the masala
1. Add tomato puree, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
2. Cook until oil separates from the masala.
Step 3 – Add paneer & peas
1. Add green peas and a little water. Cook for 4–5 minutes.
2. Add paneer cubes and gently mix.
Step 4 – Flavor & finish
1. Sprinkle garam masala, cumin powder, and crushed kasuri methi.
2. Add cream (optional) and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Step 5 – Serve
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
