President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the campaign rally of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-LABAN) at the Plaza Independencia in Barangay San Roque, Cebu City.

Proclaiming the PDP-LABAN official senatorial candidates and guest candidates, the President urged the crowd – composed of the party’s supporters and volunteers – to choose leaders of integrity and passion to serve the Filipino people.

“Tandaan ninyo ha. Itong bayan na ito, ‘pag walang law and order at hindi ninyo mahinto-hinto ‘yang corruption, maski bigyan ninyo isang Presidente five terms, after that ganito pa rin ang sitwasyon. This country will never go up,” he said.

The Chief Executive also spelled out some of the main accomplishments of his administration in serving the interest of the Filipinos such as the passage of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, the Universal Health Care Act, and the increase in the salary of military and law enforcement sector.

The President reiterated anew that the administration’s campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the country will become ‘harsher’ for the remaining three years of his term as he underscored the social dysfunction it brings to the Filipino families with members involved in it.

“Ako, I’m pleading to you, almost on bended knees. Huwag kayong pumasok at i-control ninyo ‘yang droga kasi papatayin talaga ang bayan natin. Sayang ang Pilipinas,” he added.
