After more than a decade of blistering riffs and devastating breakdowns, Dutch metalcore powerhouse FOR I AM KING closes their final chapter with a farewell performance at Patronaat in Haarlem on November 22, 2025. The Amsterdam-based quintet, fronted by the formidable Alma Alizadeh, has announced their split on their own terms, bringing their story to an end at the peak of their powers. Support acts Sugar Spine and Another Now join the band for this emotional evening.

FOR I AM KING was formed in September 2013 by vocalist Alma Alizadeh, bassist Jurgen van Straaten, and guitarist Wouter Cammelbeeck, all previously members of the band All Heads Rise. Throughout their career, they released three critically acclaimed albums: "Daemons" (2016), "I" (2018), and "Crown" (2023). Their melodic death metal sound with metalcore elements took them across the globe, performing at prestigious festivals including Wacken Open Air and Jera On Air, with tours spanning Europe, Japan, and China.

The decision to disband comes with gratitude rather than regret. As the band stated in their farewell announcement, what began as a wild idea among friends grew into hundreds of shows, worldwide tours, and lifelong friendships. They describe their journey with humor and honesty: "Metal is cheaper than therapy, and in so many ways, this band has been exactly that for us."
