Rinnenspitze Summit, Franz Senn Hütte, Tirol Austria Cinematic Climb 4K

When my colleagues told me they were climbing the Rinnenspitze, a 3003m mountain in the Alps my first idea was “I should take my fully rigged cinema camera and film it”, It has been without a doubt the most exhausting thing I’ve done in my whole life, I totally underestimate how difficult it would be, I trained for over a month but still after a couple of hours the 5Kg of my camera and gimbal setup felt like carrying an extra person, I struggled all the way to the top and more than once I thought about giving up.

But overall I’m more than happy with the result, I think some of the footage could have been more stable and I wish I could have taken more shots at the summit, but the last 100 meter were ridiculously difficult and dangerous.

I couldn’t have done it without the help of my team, especial tanks to our colleague and guide Robert who even though he has lost complete sense of what a normal person is capable of doing, kept encouraging to the top, and did let me die in the cliffs.

It took me more than 40 hrs to edit the almost 4 hrs of footage I took into 10 min, but I think I really captures the essence of the trip, I hope you enjoy it 
