This meet was all about leveling up mentally. Just a few days before her big competition, she was in tears and struggling to finish her training hours. On the final day of my whole week stretch of back-to-back-to-back events, just the night before her competition, I made sure to pick her up at the gym for a real pep talk.
Now the realization? Gratitude. It helped her crush her fears. Ibang klase tong meet na’to. Yet it was truly a humbling experience. A reminder for her of where, how and with whom she started.
