MBTA's Boston & Maine heritage unit debuts on Cape Cod Central Boston dinner train - 9/8/2025

On 9/8/2025 the MBTA debuted their Boston & Maine heritage unit on a rare Cape Cod Central dinner train charter. This was the third CCC dinner train charter to operate out of Boston so the T figured it was a good occasion to show off their heritage unit's new paint. This video first shows the train being put together in Middleboro before heading north to Boston. We then catch up with the charter running south through Holbrook/Randolph before chasing it all the way to Buzzards Bay. They changed ends and the B&M heritage led back north. We follow it from Buzzards Bay to Bridgewater where I ended my night. I hope to get some more shots of the B&M unit as well as whatever else the MBTA paints up. Hopefully we'll see some New Haven paint soon!
