廣州紙廠自1936年成立以來，旨在滿足當時報業對紙張的需求。 1938年，工廠成功生產出第一批紙張，但在日本侵華戰爭期間，其設備被日軍劫掠，導致生產中斷。 抗戰勝利後，經過積極交涉，工廠於1948年成功將被劫設備運回，並於1950年恢復生產，抄造出新中國成立後的第一張新聞紙。 2010年，廣州舊紙廠搬遷至南沙區，舊廠區被改建為廣紙歷史公園，而主體建築之後被遺棄。。

The Guangzhou Paper Factory, established in 1936, aimed to meet the newspaper industry's demand for paper. In 1938, the factory successfully produced its first batch of paper, but during the Japanese invasion of China, its equipment was seized by Japanese forces, leading to a disruption in production. After the victory in the war, through active negotiations, the factory successfully retrieved the seized equipment in 1948 and resumed production in 1950, producing the first newspaper of the new China. In 2010, the Guangzhou Paper Factory relocated to Nansha District, and the old factory site was transformed into the Guangzhou Paper History Park, while the main buildings were later abandoned.
