COSI Citizen Science: BioBlitz Webinar | Director of Science Content Marci Howdyshell

During the COSI Science Festival, May 6 – 9, 2020, COSI will be hosting its very own Central Ohio BioBlitz! Using the iNaturalist platform, we will attempt to observe and identify as many different species of plants, animals, and fungi as possible. And we want you to participate! Not only is this a fun way to get outside and explore the science all around you, but your observations will also contribute to scientific research. During this webinar, COSI Director of Science Content Dr. Marci Howdyshell will explain what Citizen Science is, share stories of scientists who use iNaturalist to inform their research, and provide a primer on using the iNaturalist platform so that you will be ready to start observing!
