Tenía años que no organizaba una orquesta tan grande en Holanda. En 2023 nos toca hacer varios conciertos con esta formación y llegó el momento de reunirlos a todos. Tuve la oportunidad de acompañar con mi orquesta a Larry Harlow dos veces en el año 2000 y luego en el 2011, para mi fue un sueño cumplido, de niño siendo un fan de la Fania jamás imaginé que algún día yo sería la persona que organizaría una orquesta para acompañar a el judio maravilloso pianista de la Fania para hacer 3 conciertos aquí en Holanda y Bélgica. Ahora en el 2023 me tocó desempolvar los arreglos de la orquesta Harlow para rendirle un tributo a el judio maravilloso, aquí les comparto este video del ensayo que hicimos el día 14 de marzo del 2023 en Amsterdam Holanda. En este video me acompañan grandes talentos, algunos de ellos estudiantes de los conservatorios de Amsterdam y Rotterdam de las cátedras de jazz y música del mundo. En estos 30 años de vida en Holanda me ha tocado darle clases a muchos estudiantes en este país. Los profesores del conservatorio aconsejan a sus estudiantes que salgan a la calle para obtener experiencia. En este país esa calle tiene nombre y apellido Gerardo Rosales.Yo soy el que los orienta y les da la oportunidad de crecer, ya que mis bandas les han servido de escuela a cientos de músicos, en mi discografía de 21 discos y videos está la prueba. Quiero decirles que aprendo mucho de la gente joven y siempre estoy dispuesto a apoyar a las nuevas generaciones, nuestra música latina es una cultura y mi labor es difundir y enseñar a todo el que quiera aprender.

I have not organized such a large orchestra in the Netherlands for years. In 2023 we are going to do several concerts with this orchestra and the time has come to bring them all together. I had the opportunity to accompany Larry Harlow with my orchestra twice in 2000 and then in 2011, for me it was a dream come true, as a child being a Fania fan I never imagined that one day I would be the person who would organize an orchestra to accompany the wonderful Jew, the legendary pianist of Fania, we did 3 concerts, two in Holland and one in Belgium. Now in 2023 I had to dust off the arrangements of the Harlow Orchestra to pay tribute to the wonderful Jew, here I share with you this video of the rehearsal we did on March 14, 2023 in Amsterdam, Holland. In this video I am accompanied by great talents, some of them students of the conservatories of Amsterdam and Rotterdam of the chairs of jazz and world music. In these 30 years of living in Holland I have taught many students in this country. Conservatory professors advise their students to go out on the street to get experience. In this country that street has a name and surname Gerardo Rosales, I am the one who guides them and gives them the opportunity to grow, since my bands have served as a school for hundreds of musicians, in my discography of 21 albums and videos is the proof. I want to tell you that I learn a lot from young people and I am always willing to support the new generations, our Latin music is a culture and my job is to spread and teach anyone who wants to learn.
