Antonio Corcoles presents IBM’s evolving quantum software stack and the new execution model designed to help users move toward quantum-classical advantage. He explains how QPUs, quantum computers, and the quantum ISA fit together and how everything now centers on flexible, programmable quantum circuits. He introduces Samplatic, which generates circuit templates and sampling graphs, the new Executor primitive for running full “quantum programs,” and Noise Learner v3 for box based noise modeling. These tools make advanced error mitigation methods like shaded light cones and propagated noise absorption much easier to use.
Antonio also highlights new resources for algorithm developers and HPC users, including Qiskit’s C API, compiled language interfaces, Slurm integration, Prefect based hybrid workflows, and an HPC ready SQD workflow demonstrated in C++ with RIKEN’s SPD solver. He closes by emphasizing the Quantum Resource Manager Interface and Qiskit’s push to support compiled languages and large scale hybrid computing as essential steps toward practical quantum advantage.
