Disneyland Paris | December 2023 | Travel Day - First Time Driving to Disneyland Paris!

Hello everyone and welcome to the official start of our new series!
From Monday 4th December to Friday 8th December 2023 we were in Disneyland Paris along with our friend Amy ‪@amyjoanne93‬.

This vlog starts on Sunday 3rd December, our 'Pre-Travel Day', when we drove from Swindon down to Folkestone where we stayed overnight at The Ship Inn, close to the Euro Tunnel, ready for an early start on the Monday morning.
On the Monday, 'Travel Day' , we were up by 5:30AM as we had to check in with Le Shuttle by 6:20AM ready to board for a 7:20AM departure!
This was the first time we'd driven to Disneyland Paris so the whole process of boarding Le Shuttle, travelling by car in a train, getting off the other end and then driving 3 hours to Disneyland was all new to us and particularly tiring for Dan as the driver.

On the French half of the route we stopped at Baie de Somme services as we'd seen in a friend's vlog that it was attached to a nature reserve that we wanted to see, though it was too windy and wet to explore much once we were there.
Once we reached Disneyland Paris we checked in at our accommodation for the 4 nights, Hotel Santa Fe. We include a room tour as we all like a good nose around somewhere different! LOL

after partially unpacking we headed to Disneyland Park to see Main street, the castle and all the magic for the first time of the trip!
We'd already agreed we'd go to Frontier Land first - and as Big Thunder Mountain was down at the time, our first ride of the holiday was Phantom Manor!
We didn't spend long in the park that evening as we were cold and hungry so after a quick look in some shops, headed back to our resort for a warming hot drink in the on-site Starbucks then got changed ready for our dining reservation at 7PM at Chuck Wagon Café over at Hotel Cheyenne - which is easily one of mine and Dan's favourite all-you-can-eat buffets! And this was Amy's first time at a buffet in Disney as she's usually a Quick Service snacker!
