Part 1
This is a documentary about a local legend of lost treasure in N.E. Ohio. The story goes that durring the French & Indian wars a payrole shipment was being sent between Ft. Duquesne (pittsburg) and Ft. Detroit along the great Indian trail across Ohio. The French spotted the British tracking them and buried the gold before the battle. Afterward only 3 men survived and were too few to carry the load so they marked the site and left. Years later one of their grandchildren returned to the area, found a new town that had sprung up, and let slip the story. People have been searching ever since.
I did all research, filming, interviewing, and editing myself. Everything had been nice and green a week earlier but regrettably by the time I was able to get the equipment we were hit by one of the final snows of the season. Maybe I will get around to re-shooting some of this in the future. I would like to make a few improvements and expand on the details. A few flaws but I hope you like it.
