Using PaperArtsy Mattints in Mixed Media at Artistic Artifacts

Sharon McDonagh, one of the Creative Minds at Artistic Artifacts, explores the uses of the new Mattints from PaperArtsy in several mixed media projects to explain the features. For the strongest color, apply a generous layer to both sides. Each additional application builds depth.

Here are Paper Artsy's descriptions of each Mattints color:
• Glow is a gorgeous ochre yellow, useful as a mixer. Layer over any other Mattints or fresco to add warmth.
• Nutty is a warm brown, great to add shadows and depth. Mix Nutty and Glow for the perfect sepia tone.
• Fern is a nice green. Add Glow to make it more olive green, or knock it back with Nutty.
• Shark is a useful grey blue. Add Glow for a different shade of green, or add Shark to Fern for an interesting blue-green.
• Jam is a beautiful black currant-ish purple, wonderful paired with either blue shade.
• Squeezed is a rustic orange, not too bright. Great to contrast to both blues or to use with pink and purple.
• Dragonfly is a bright blue, perfect for mixing as a primary color.
• The Pink is a strong hot pink, a great mixer.
