Hey y’all! This is Jessica with Bless Your Heart, and in today’s tutorial I’m showing you how to create a red and silver ombré epoxy tumbler using the epoxy glitter method from start to finish.
In this video, I start with a prepped, sanded, and spray-painted 20 oz tumbler, using a gloss red and metallic silver spray paint applied in light, short bursts for a smooth base coat. Once the base is ready, I move into the glitter phase using PDB Feisty and Glitter Heart Co. Hello Gorgeous to create a bold, blended ombré effect.
For glitter adhesion, I’m using the epoxy method with Flynn Sister Supply Shop Fast Set epoxy. You’ll see exactly how I apply full-coverage glitter at the bottom and top of the tumbler, holding the cup nearly vertical to allow the glitter to naturally cascade and blend, creating a seamless red-to-silver ombré. This technique works great for beginners learning epoxy control as well as experienced makers wanting a clean blend.
Once the glitter layer is cured and smoothed with another layer of epoxy, we move on to UVDTF decal application. I’m using cardinal designs printed on UVDTF from a local supplier and layering them to look like a single cohesive image. I walk you through proper placement, the hinge method, burnishing techniques, and tips for overlapping UVDTFs without lifting previous layers.
You’ll also see how I add my name to the tumbler using a basic offset vinyl decal, aligned with the parchment paper method to get perfectly straight placement every time. After decals are complete, the tumbler is finished with a final epoxy coat for a smooth, professional result.
This tutorial is perfect for:
Beginner epoxy users learning the glitter method
Intermediate and advanced tumbler makers refining ombré blends
Resin artists working with UVDTF decals
Anyone making custom glitter epoxy tumblers
If you’re new here, I create step-by-step epoxy tumbler tutorials, glitter techniques, decal application tips, and inspiration for resin artists of all skill levels.
Let me know in the comments what you’d like to see me work on next—I’d love to get inspired by y’all.
Thank you so much for hanging out with me today, and I hope to see you again soon.
