Ometz Lev (Courageous Heart)

Ometz Lev is the fourth movement of Freda’s Journey, a 25-minute suite for guitar and orchestra that tells the story of my great-grandmother Freda. Through this moving composition, this suite chronicles Freda’s courageous journey as an orphan travelling from Russia to Canada in the early 1900s. Her story is one of unimaginable heartache, profound grief, unyielding hope, and unshakable courage.
