KNEECAP are so big now I have to leave London to see them in a non-arena venue! I booked to see them on a Friday in Bournemouth where my friend Matthew lives. This venue is actually the smallest I've seen them in, having missed them some years at at Tufnell Park Dome (I keep moaning about this).
And what a beautiful venue the Bournemouth Academy is! I absolutely loved it. The gap between barrier and stage was pretty shallow and being on the barrier was the least sweaty place to be (off to the side).
I love this song and wish I'd seen KNEECAP and Fontaines DC together this summer, and doing this song, but I sadly wasn't able to get a ticket. Another regret!
Looking at my videos from this gig, I'm also worried for Mo Chara's mental wellbeing. He's completely covered up, shielding himself the whole show - sunglasses, cap AND a hood. I really hope he's being looked after and getting mental health support having to go through this government interrogation of him. He still managed to perform fabulously but his health must come first.
