Deciding where to go to college in #2020 is such a nerve wracking, but rewarding, experience! Aside from the pandemic, there are so many things to consider as you’re looking into different schools, while also balancing high school classes, college applications, deadlines, ACT/SAT testing - it gets pretty crazy!

I was accepted to Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, BYU, Utah, and Pepperdine. Baylor was a huge draw for me, because my sisters @BrooklynAndBailey both go there and it is a beautiful campus with fun traditions and great programs. Because of the twins, I’ve been able to live so many of Baylor’s school traditions through them, and I really want to have a new experience that is entirely my own. I had SO many amazing schools on my accepted list, including Baylor, which was #1 on my list until this week. University of Utah was actually #2 and Texas A&M was #3. Choosing between so many awesome colleges was very difficult!

After weighing my options for the past few social distancing months, I’ve decided that I will be attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah!

Yes, I am shocked, too! BYU wasn’t even in my Top 3 schools through the whole process, jumping from #6 to #1 in just the last few days. Personal fit, program success, family and friends who went there, and prayer are what ultimately tipped the scale and confirmed my final surprise decision, and I am just about as shocked as y’all are!

My parents and 3 of my grandparents are BYU graduates, and the university has a great neuroscience undergraduate program. Not only does so much of our extended family live in Utah, but I also have dozens of friends currently enrolled at BYU and UVU. I’m absolutely obsessed with the Utah mountains (Jeep, Jeep!) and I’ve always loved being outdoors, hiking, exploring, and LOVE the snow! I’ve always wanted to learn how to snowboard, and we also used to live in Utah. Every time we go back to visit, I don’t really want to leave!

I’m SO relieved that I finally made my decision, and I can’t wait to get to BYU in the Fall! 😍
