Driving around the Miami Shores neighborhood in south Dayton. There used to be a swimming pool (swimming hole rd.) in this area. I went swimming there many times when i was a kid.
By the way, "river rats" is not meant to be an insult. It's a term of pride. I've known plenty of people from the shores, and they are proud of that name.
