CZ: System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster je remasterovaná verze klasické akční sci-fi RPG hry, která původně vyšla v roce 1999. Přestože remaster přináší vizuální a technické vylepšení, děj zůstává věrný originálu.

Děj hry se odehrává v budoucnosti, kdy se hlavní postava, voják nebo vědec (hráč si vybírá povolání), probouzí na vesmírné lodi Von Braun po jejím napadení mimozemskými nebo biotechnologickými hrozbami. Hráč se musí vypořádat s následky útoku a zjistit, co se na lodi stalo.

Postupně odhaluje, že na palubě došlo k experimentům s biotechnologií, které se vymkly kontrole, a k šíření smrtelných mutací a nepřátelských entit. Hráč se setkává s umělou inteligencí SHODAN, která je původně navržena jako správce lodi, ale později se stává hlavním protivníkem hry. SHODAN má své vlastní záměry, které často ohrožují nejen posádku, ale i celý vesmír.

Hráč postupně prozkoumává různé části lodi, sbírá zbraně, technologie a informace, aby se dostal k překonání SHODAN a odhalení pravdy za incidentem. Cílem je zastavit zlověstné plány SHODAN a zachránit posádku i sebe sama.

Remaster přináší moderní grafiku, vylepšené zvuky a optimalizovanou hratelnost, ale dějová linie zůstává věrná původnímu zážitku z klasické hry.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is a remastered version of the classic action sci-fi RPG game that originally released in 1999. Although the remaster offers visual and technical enhancements, the story remains faithful to the original.

The game's story takes place in the future, where the main character, a soldier or scientist (the player chooses their profession), wakes up on the spaceship Von Braun after it has been attacked by alien or biotechnological threats. The player must deal with the consequences of the attack and find out what happened on the ship.

Gradually, they uncover that experiments with biotechnology went out of control aboard the ship, leading to the spread of deadly mutations and hostile entities. The player encounters SHODAN, an artificial intelligence initially designed as the ship's administrator, but who later becomes the main antagonist of the game. SHODAN has its own agendas, which often threaten not only the crew but the entire universe.

The player explores various parts of the ship, collecting weapons, technology, and information to overcome SHODAN and uncover the truth behind the incident. The goal is to stop SHODAN’s sinister plans and save the crew and themselves.

The remaster features modern graphics, improved sounds, and optimized gameplay, but the storyline remains true to the original classic experience.
