Soundtrack for a game that doesn't exist

Layers of Delight is my abandoned RPG video game project. It will likely never see the light of day. I made the common mistake of focusing on the "fun" side of game development before getting a good grasp of the basics, crafting stories and assets that would never be put to use.

This is a collection of the songs I made for the game and a few side projects, and at the same time it is a journey through my first months of music creation. For nearly five years, I've wanted to do something with all the old music collecting digital dust on my hard drive, but it wasn't until last week that I decided to conjoin and remaster all these old tracks.

Music creation and game development have been an amazing part of my life, and I want to sincerely thank everyone that has joined me up until now, no matter what project piqued your interest. What is music if there's no one around to listen?

Layers of Delight would take place in a fantastic world with a history of senseless conflict between factions of different colors. Blue, red, green, purple, those that paint the world gray and those that make it colorful.

The game would follow a character who is too young to have experienced the conflict, living in an era of supposed enlightenment.

It would ultimately have been a message about unity in the form of an adventure not too dissimilar from games like Undertale or LISA, with a calm, somber atmosphere.
