Join us for a live panel discussion on how archaeologists are using AI – in our own research, and in public engagement.
As AI continues to seep into everyday use, how we do or don’t engage with AI is not only changing how we work, but also how we share our work with the public – and involve them in the process.
From citizen science, museum and archive interfaces, to personal or ‘walled-garden’ apps and even online search results, there’s a lot for us all to think about beyond our own workflows.
Our panel will discuss the kinds of approaches we can aspire to, showcase examples from their own work as well as the wider arts, heritage, and culture sectors, and share their views on the possibilities and pitfalls for public engagement.
Finally, we’ll wrap up with thoughts about how we might align AI use with our organisational values, and how we can protect the integrity of our work, our research, and the meaning that is created from it.
