EDC wasteLAND Stage 2016 Aftermovie - HARDSTYLE - Las Vegas

This is me. These are my people. We party harder than the others you know. The wasteLAND stage at EDC Las Vegas 2016 was absolutely one of the highlights of the event for me.

The US doesn’t have a lot of events supporting the harder styles of dance music, so I try to take advantage of any time I get to turn up to 150bpm or higher in a festival environment. (Watch more: TomorrowWorld had Q-Dance host a stage for a day:    • TomorrowWorld 2015 Aftermovie - Atlanta  )

With a stage resembling an apocalyptic San Francisco and a PK Sound audio system bringing the bass, wasteLAND is where you could find us most of the event. This year brought arguably the biggest and best hardstyle lineup the US has ever seen. There was no scheduling overlap this year with Defqon.1, so many high demand acts were available for a US set.

Hardstyle fan? The wasteLAND stage at EDC Las Vegas is where you want to be.

We met hardstyle fans from all over the country and world. It was awesome to be able to enjoy the music with other fans from around the world for all 3 nights. There's no room for hating in this life we love. It's either fit in…

Pro Tips:
Hydrate. This goes without saying, but it’s even more important when you’re in the middle of the desert where, you know, it’s still 100 degrees at midnight. Start drinking lots of water long before you even begin your journey to the speedway.
Stay Energized. Coffee or Red Bull is your friend. The BPM of hardstyle music means you’re already moving more than at other stages. You’ll need whatever energy you can get.
Stretch. Don’t laugh, I’m serious. Stretching between sets and during bathroom breaks helps prevent your muscles from cramping up. You’ll thank me on days 2 and 3. Also, people tend to come up and stretch alongside me (because it’s such a good idea, duh), so it’s been a way to meet people, too.
