Anaxagoras, The First child of Athena. He is the child who has many expectations of his mother. At first, Athena didn’t see the need to have a child, but something in her still lingers the feeling of having a child. As she is one of the goddesses who vows not to fall to the tricks of men and stay pure, she got an idea that would maintain her purity and allow her to have a child. Just like what happened to her birth, she created the structure of what happened. That is where Anaxagoras came to be. He respects the gods but doesn’t just take their words at face value. He questions divine edicts, history, and prophecy, especially when those stories cause unnecessary suffering. He values reasoned knowledge over tradition and ritual. As the first child of Athena, he bears the burden of expectations he needs to meet, but he is not really different from his siblings, as evidenced by the way his mother treats them.

Anaxa was entrusted to a mortal who had a wife and a daughter. They are all scholars, meaning that Anaxa will be well-informed, just like the other Chrysos heirs; he was also assigned to Amphoreus. He knew about his siblings' existence, but rather than giving signs of being their brother, he just wrote some books about his knowledge and philosophies, and had some of his mother pass them on to his siblings. Anaxa met Percy in the grove and found out that one of his siblings is in Amphoreus. He almost curses every god because they put these children in danger.
