A remarkable amateur film from the 1930s of Knaresborough North Yorkshire showing a summers' day trip to this beautiful town some time after 1932, but before the War I think. This shows the obvious attractions (Mother Shipton's cave and the riverside etc), but also the street market which Knaresborough was famous for.
The original 9.5mm film runs to about 20 mins, but a lot relates to family, so I have edited this down. I believe this was filmed by a Harold Bates, possibly commissioned by the subjects shown in the last scene.
Some unique film of this town from about 90 years ago.
This was frame by frame digitised from the original 9.5mm film.
